2023: APC would win the South-East –Uzodimma

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is the only party with structures in each of the nation’s 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs), according to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo, who predicts that the APC will win the South-East in the general election of 2023.

At a seminar, the party held in Owerri for its candidates, Uzodimma—who is also the South-East region’s chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council—made this statement.

” APC is already winning and will win in the South-East because APC is the only political party that has party structure at the polling units and booths in all 774 LGAs of the country, “ he said.

According to Uzodimma, the seminar’s goal was to organise a successful electioneering campaign for the 2023 election.

“The participants must carry others along as they cannot lead or win elections in isolation,” he said.

The South-East, he claimed, has every reason to be grateful for all that President Muhammadu Buhari has accomplished for it during his nearly eight years in office.

He cited the second Niger Bridge and the zone’s Federal Highways as examples of the president’s accomplishments in the South-East.

Others included the construction of a naval base in Imo’s Oguta LGA and the ongoing renovation of a 200-bed hospital at the Imo University Teaching Hospital Orlu by NNPC.

He warned party members against falling for the lies of organisations that frequently claim to support the South-East Presidency after they failed to back candidates from the region in the APC’s presidential primary.

“The Igbo people have been a victim of mistaken identity. There is the need for the South-East to take their destiny in their own hands because if you don’t say I am, nobody will say you are,” he said.

Executives and party members from all around the South-East, as well as current and former party office holders, attended the event.
