Manchester City knock Chelsea out of Carabao Cup
Manchester City out two goals past Chelsea to knock out and scale through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
After playing out a goalless draw in the first half with both teams failing to take their chances, Riyad Mahrez eventually broke the deadlock before Julian Alvarez made it two for the home side.
City have now extended their winning streak at home to 16 games in all competitions.
Aside getting kicked out of the Carabao Cup, Chelsea had now recorded just two wins in their last seven games in all competition.
