Ajax cruise to 36th Eredivisie title
Ajax secured a 5-0 statement win over Heerenveen to bag a record 36th Eredivisie title with one game to go.
Goals from Nicolas Tagliafico, Steven Berghuis, Sebastien Haller, Brian Brobbey and Edson Alvarez in both halves of the game ensured that the dutch giants handed, outgoing coach, Erik Ten Hag, a befitting farewell.
Ajax’s 36th league triumph is the third in charge for ten Hag, who will end see an end to his five-year stint at the Dutch side at the end of the season to become Manchester United’s manager.
