APC Congratulates Laguda’s Victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Professionals Council has congratulated Fuad Laguda on winning Saturday’s election in Lagos State’s Surulere Federal Constituency.

The Council noted that Laguda’s resounding election victory is a measure of the public’s contentment with the party’s leadership in a congrats letter signed by Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, its National Director General.

Laguda was proclaimed the winner of the bye-election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday. He received 11,203 votes, more than his nearest rival, Jerry Afemikhe of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who received 278 votes.

Laguda will take over for Femi Gbajabiamila, President Bola Tinubu’s chief of staff, who left the 10th National Assembly in order to accept the position.

The people of Lagos State, according to Bamigbade, are satisfied with the APC’s performance in the state and the impressive background of the previous representative of the constituency, Gbajabiamila. This is demonstrated by the candidate’s victory.

He declared his confidence that Laguda will uphold the people’s mandate by solidifying his performance as their representative.

The Council also voted to support President Bola Tinubu and his economic plan, expressing optimism that the nation’s economic woes will soon be history as the measures being implemented to build wealth, create jobs, and reduce poverty will soon be fully implemented.

In order for prosperity to spread to the local level and raise people’s standards of life, it also urged state governors to step up their efforts at creating wealth.
