Arsenal extended unbeaten run with late lone-goal victory over Man City

Arsenal put an end to seven-year winning draught against Manchester City in the league,  with a late lone goal victory over Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday.

The tie which was highly anticipated had remained pretty average, until substitute, Gabriel Martinelli’s 86th-minute strike deflected off Nathan Ake and into the net, to earn Arsenal their first win against City in the EPL since December 2015.

City have now suffered two consecutive defeats in the league, having lost last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Wolves, while Arsenal remains unbeaten so far, and is second on the log, two points ahead of the defending champions, who sit in third place.
