Bayern Munich wins 11th successive Bundesliga title
Bayern Munich are Champions of the 2022/2023 Bundesliga season, their 11th title in 11 seasons, thanks to a 2-1 over Cologne on a dramatic final day of the season.Β
Thomas Tuchel’s side had gone into the last game of the season, two points behind closest rivals, Borussia Dortmund, who needed to heat Mainz to seal the trophy for the first time in 11 years.
Unfortunately, Dortmund couldn’t get more than a draw from the game and though the result of both games places both teams on the same points, Bayern has a superior goal difference, which helped them clinch the title.
The eventual turnout of events left Dortmund supporters, who had come out in their numbers to back their team, devastated, as their coach and players alike were reduced to tears. However, the fans still stayed back to show their support.
