EPL: Chelsea suffer first defeat under Graham Potter

Brighton handed Chelsea their first defeat under new manger, Graham Potter.

The Blue had enjoyed a nine game unbeaten run since Potter joined, after Thomas Tuchel was sacked and we’re looking to make it ten against Potter’s former side.

But, whatever hope Chelsea had of getting three points against Roberto de Zerbiwas shattered as the Blues went into game trailing the home sides 3-0, thanks to an opening goal from Leandro Trossard two own goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheekand and Trevoh Chalobah, respectively.

Two minutes after the break, Kai Harvetz, pulled one back for the visitors, but an already demoralized Chelsea failed to make any more impact, and Pascal Gross went to increase the deficit to 4, just at the nick of stoppage time, much to the delight of their fans.

The win moved Brighton to seventh on the log, while Chelsea remain fifth.
