BREAKING: Popular Actor, Baba Suwe is Dead
Veteran Yoruba Comic Actor, Babatunde Omidina fondly called Baba Suwe is dead at age 67.
Surprisingly, the actor died since November 11th 2021, but was recently made known byone of his daughters, Adesola Omidina.
She said: “This is to announce the sudden death of my father, Babatunde Omidina, the legend and rare gem, Baba Suwe on November 11, 2021. Details and other arrangements will be announced shortly.
”The news of his death was confirmed but the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan also known as Mr Latin.
In an exclusive interview with The Punch, Mr Latin said, “It has been confirmed that Baba Suwe is dead. I just got off the phone with his son who confirmed that the actor is dead. I don’t have much details about his death.
”Baba Suwe became popular for his comic roles in Nollywood films with Yoruba language.
He suffered poor health in 2018, making several Nigerians including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to donate funds for his medical treatment abroad, but it is not confirmed if it was the same ailment that led to his demise.
