Burna Boy and Mr 2kay bury the hatchet 4 years after messy beef

Burna boy and Mr. 2kay have finally decided to put an end to their rift from four years ago, as they were both spotted at a nightclub hanging out, bonding and giving out all shades of ‘bromance.’

Burna Boy and Mr 2kay made the headlines in 2017 after their messy beef went public. Their disagreement started when Burnaboy spoke negatively about Nigerian pastors and 2kay expressed his disgust at Burna’s negative opinion. Mr. 2Kay during an interview with Hip TV said Burna Boy shouldn’t have spoken ill of pastors because they are anointed men of God so he can’t be talking about them in that manner.

Burna Boy, saw the interview and allegedly sent a threatening DM to Mr. 2Kay.

“You better have that energy when I come for you because I’m coming for you,” he allegedly threatened.

On, October 22, 2017, 2face Idibia and Tiwa Savage headlined Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless at Eko Hotel & Suites. Mr. 2Kay performed at the event and after his performance, went up to his room to relax and he was robbed and beaten to a pulp. Most of his possessions were gone and he was left with bruises all over his body.

After the incident, four suspects were arrested and they later confessed to being responsible for the robbery and assault of Mr 2Kay including his road manager, Joel. After much interrogation, the robbers confessed that they were hired by Burna Boy.

According to the Lagos state commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi, the suspects confessed to receiving a part payment of 50,000 Naira before the job and another 50,000 was paid to the robbers directly by Burna Boy when the job was done.

After this revelation, the police declared Burna boy wanted, it was also announced by the police later on that they sent a letter to Burna boy to come for questioning so as to explain what role he played in the attack and robbery of Mr 2Kay.

Burnaboy later released a statement via his record label which claimed he had honoured the police’s invitation and was never declared wanted by them in the first place. Burnaboy also denied all the allegations leveled against him.

Mr 2Kay, in an interview with Linda Ikeji TV, said although Burna Boy called to deny that he was involved in the robbery, Burna Boy told him on the phone that it was possible his road manager, Joel Kantiok, who was paraded by the police, had heard that he was upset with Mr 2Kay and decided to stage the robbery himself.

Nonetheless, years after rarely ever being in the same space, Burnaboy and Mr.2kay were spotted at a nightclub, being all cozy, with Burna’s arms around 2kay’s neck, like nothing ever happened between them. In the video, 2kay shouted “Love” repeatedly and when Burnaboy’s song came up in the background, he hailed the self-proclaimed artiste, screaming “Odogwu” repeatedly.
