Burna Boy Finally Announce Date for Lagos Concert

After the prolonged wait, Burnaboy finally announced the date and venue for his Lagos state concert.

In an Instagram post, Burna Boy revealed that his Lagos concert will hold at the Eko Convention Center on the 27th of December. The show is scheduled to be staged on Tuesday, the 28th of November 2021.

Burna Boy has been on a world tour for the most part of the year for his 2020 album, ‘Twice as Tall’, which was interrupted by the pandemic.

So far, he has touched the O2 arena in London with a sold out performance. He also performed in Greece recently and then back to England, where he famously watched Manchester United’s game before performing on stage later that day with Paul Pogba.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy’s 2018 hit song Ye has been awarded a Gold Certification in the United Kingdom (UK) by the BRITs Award organizers.

Ye was released as part of Burna Boy’s 2018 album, Outside which signaled his first real foray into international waters. Ye grew really big and attracted the attention of the world’s best. It was not long before he got a Grammy nomination for his next album, African Giant before securing Diddy as lead producer on his 2020 Grammy award-winning album, Twice as Tall.

In the last three years, Burna has released Outside, African Giant and Twice As Tall, which dropped in August 2020.

The Grammy-Award winner recently declared that he won’t be releasing any album till further notice so fans shouldn’t look forward to a new album.

He wrote,  “I might decide not to drop an album for a long time. In fact, you know what, no album till further notice.”

Considering Burna’s frequent release, a year without an album release would be Burna Boy’s first since 2017.
