Captain Aubameyang returns with a bang on Valentine’s day.

Having been absent for almost a month, Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang marked his return in grand style by scoring a superb hat-trick in Arsenal’s 4-2 victory over Leeds United on Sunday at the Emirates.

Aubameyang opened the scoring in the 14th minute and made no mistakes from the stop for his double in the 41st minute.

Right-back Hector Bellerin made it three for the Gunners on the stroke of half-time to seal off an impressive first-half performance for the host.

Just two minutes after the break, Aubameyang was on target again for his third an Arsenal’s fourth of the night.

As the game processed, the visitors grabbed two consultation goals in the 58th and 69th minute, and for a split second it looked like a comeback could be on the way but two goals was all Leeds could manage from the encounter.

The result ended Arsenal’s three-game winless run and pushed Mikel Arteta’s men above Leeds to 10th in the table, six points off the top four.

For their next game, Arsenal will take on Benfica in Athens in the Europa League on Thursday, while Leeds will be in action in the Premier League on Friday when they travel to Wolves.
