EPL: Manchester United earn three points with a lone-goal victory over Brentford

Manchester United recovered from Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Brentford at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford’s first goal, the England forward’s 15th Premier League goal of the season, and 28th in all competitions were enough to seal the much-needed win, which took the Red Devils back to the EPL top four.

United is now leveled on 53 points with third-placed Newcastle, and three ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham.

On the other hand, Brentford, who are chasing European qualification, remain in ninth position,  and this defeat is their second in 17 Premier League games.
