Arsenal lost grip of their unbeaten start to the EPL season, following a controversial 1-0 loss to Newcastle United in Saturday’s fierce showdown.
Anthony Gordon’s contentious 64th-minute shot was the difference in the end-to-end game, which left Mikel Arteta, his players, and fans alike very furious.
The goal, which was checked for a possible foul, offside, and the ball was out of play before it was given, wasn’t the only thing Arsenal felt strongly about, with the game filled with its fair share of aggressive moments.
It was a truly disappointing result for Arsenal who got knocked out of the Carabao Cup during the week and were hoping to bounce back.
The game also sees yet another week of questionable VAR verdicts, which has continued to be an issue of discuss in the EPL.
Tottenham Hotspur are now the only side yet to suffer defeat this season and they play Chelsea on Monday.
