FA Cup: Tottenham outclass Marine FC with 5-star performance

Jose Mourinho and his side traveled to Marine Travel Arena in Crosby on Sunday for their FA Cup third-round game and took no prisons against the non-league side whom Spurs seats 160 places above on the football hierarchy as they outclassed them in a 5-0 showpiece.

Carlos Vinicius scored a 13-minute hat-trick straight off to business after 24 minutes into the game, With Lucas Moura scoring a stunning free-kick to make it four before the break.

After the break, 16-year-old substitute Alfie Devine sealed the victory with the 5th goal, and his 60-minute goal put him in Spur’s history book as the club’s youngest ever goalscorer.

It was a historic game for Marine FC, who play in the struggling eighth tier of English football, and though it was disappointing to see their FA Cup run come to an end, they remained graceful even in defeat.

Having already booked a place in the EFL cup final last week, Tottenham, fourth in the Premier League, will be looking to take this momentum into their Premier game against Aston Villa on Wednesday.
