“I tried to win Pere over with food, but it didn’t work” – Uriel

Uriel Oputa has recounted how she strategically tried to win Pere over with food while in the Big Brother Naija house but failed woefully.

In a recent interview on Pulse One-on-One, the chef referenced a strategy she employed to get her colleague, Pere Egbi on her side during their stay in Biggie’s house.

Uriel who once stated intentions to have a baby with Pere in the future hinted at how she tried winning him over with food so as to avoid being nominated for eviction.

Pere, who was right in front of Uriel while she revealed the strategy laughed it off without giving a comment on it.

“I tried to win him over with food but e no dey work. This guy will eat your food and still nominate you,” she said.

Meanwhile, Pere whom is said to be in a relationship with fellow reality TV star, Mercy Eke has disclosed that Mercy happened to be his spec from day one on the show.

In a candid talk he had with Uriel, Pere disclosed that Mercy Eke was the best option available to him when he came into the Big Brother house.

Mercy and Pere did not have a close relationship when they first moved into the Big Brother house; that was something they really started to develop later in the season.

The chemistry between them during the latter part of the show came as a surprise to both fans and other housemates.

Pere had expressed interest in Alex when he was in the BBNaija house saying that she was the only girl he felt he could physically touch.

Mercy, however, had made it clear that she was in a relationship and wasn’t interested in dating anyone. But as the season came to a close, the two housemates grew closer and even shared a kiss on TV, and also stated that their relationship was genuine, and not a strategy like the public assumed.

Despite what Pere disclosed in a recent interview, Mercy and Pere had unfollowed one another on social media as recently as three days ago.

Even though this interview was just published, it appears that it was recorded at least a few weeks ago. This indicates that the interview might have taken place prior to Mercy and Pere’s unfollowing frenzy.
