“I’m receiving threats for speaking up about EFCC oppression” – Skales
Nigerian singer and Rapper, Skales said he has been receiving threats ever since he spoke up about the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC raiding his apartment.
Recall that Skales had taken to X to narrate how heavily armed operatives of the agency broke into his house and wrongly accused him of being a fraudster.
He said he was sleeping with his six-month-old daughter when the EFCC operatives numbering about three broke into his house through the backdoor by midnight.
Not stopping there, the singer also said the EFCC officials assaulted his producer and left him injured.
The EFCC however denied these allegations. EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, insisted that officials of the anti-graft agency do not operate in such a manner, as the invaders could be impersonators of the EFCC roaming around.
While some Netizens, including the EFCC, have denied and demanded evidence of the invasion, the singer as well as his neighbors have released videos and CCTV footage of operatives of the EFCC.
In a recent development, Skales revealed that he was now receiving threats for revealing his ordeal in the hands of the EFCC operatives.
“I was just threatened for speaking out now”, he wrote.
