Influencers Guild Petitions BBNaija organizers over incomplete payment of Phyna’s Prize Money

Former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna alongside Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-making and Influencers Guild, (PCCSIGN) has filed an official complaint against Big Brother Naija over the outstanding debt owed to the winner of the 7th edition, Josephina Otabor aka Phyna.

Phyna had called out the reality show for failing to fulfill all the prizes that she had won during the show. Phyna made her demands clear to Big Brother Naija organizers and Multichoice, stating that her top priorities are her Bitcoin (BTC) worth over N90M and the Dubai trip promised her.

Phyna described how she has been corresponding with Multichoice and their unfulfilled promises to reply to her in a recently circulated video.

“After reunion I was depressed, they started making life difficult, they didn’t give me my BBN money.

All I really want is my BTC. It’s worth over N90m. I can’t leave it. Also, the trip for 2 is very important”, Phyna said.

Phyna, on her Instagram stories, went on to call out brands like Pepsi, Travel Beta, Uniksoap, and others who are indebted to her.

Weighing into the case, PCCSIGN, in the letter addressed to organizers of the reality show, Multichoice Nigeria, disclosed that Phyna was still being owed part of the prices she won from the show two years ago.

The Guild urged Multichoice to facilitate the release of the prizes by the associated brands, noting that it is imperative that sponsors of the Big Brother Naija franchise uphold their commitments to the winners of the show.

The letter read in part: “We, the Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-making, and Influencers Guild (PCCSIGN), writes to you on behalf of ijeoma Josephina Otabor known as “Phyna’, a valued member of our guild, regarding the outstanding debts owed by Quidax Global – 1BTC= $70, 052.00, Seven-Up Bottling Company (Pepsi)-1 year supply of Pepsi products, Travelbeta – A trip for 2 to Dubai, and Evans Industries (Unik Soap) – 1 year supply of soap product, which constitute part of the prizes she won as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7 (Level Up), held from July 23rd to October 2nd, 2022.”

“Failure to fulfill promised prizes not only reflects poorly on the sponsors but also undermines the integrity of the show and raises doubts in the public opinion.”
