Joeboy provides free danfo buses for Lagos residents

Singer Joeboy, via his official Twitter and Instagram handles, has announced his plans to ease the transportation stress on Lagosians as a result of the fuel subsidy removal.
On his social media handles, the 26-year-old singer shared posters displaying the routes which the buses are expected to ply, accompanied by photos and video of the buses which were branded with the name of his new body of work titled ‘Body and Soul’.
The buses will run between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm and ply Iyana Oworo- Lekki/Jakande, Unilag Gate/ Yaba, and Obanlende / Oshodi free of charge for the next three days.

Joeboy said the initiative was borne out of his genuine desire to help cushion the effect of the biting economic condition occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy.
He wrote; “I know the fuel subsidy p is hard on everyone right now so here’s my little way of helping.
For the next 3 days, there will be FREE Body & Soul buses along the following routes between 8am and 5pm”.
A fan, @mcdaniel_ogar, implied that the artiste is trying to achieve two goals at the same time, which is promoting his song but at the same time supporting commuters amid the ongoing transportation stress.
He wrote, “Killing two birds with one stone. Great initiative pon deck,”
Another fan, @playwith_decor, commended Joeboy’s creativity, saying, “Not just creative with music but creative outside the craft. God bless you more, Pon Deck.”
