Laycon: I Only Came To Big Brother Naija Reality Show To Promote My Songs (EP).
Finally, the most talked about reality show big brother naija, that comes with lots of drama, has come to an end. The show which was premiered on the 19th of July, 2020, on dstv chanel 198, and gotv channel 29, the show lasted for 71 days.
The show had Ebuka Obi as the host and DJ Neptune as the official DJ.
With 20 housemates Ka3na, Lilo, Eric, Wathoni, Kaisha, Praise, Prince, Tolani Baj, Tochi, Prince, Kiddwaya, Ozo, Vee, Neo, BrightO, Lucy, Erica, Nengi, Laycon and Dorathy who were battling for the grand prize of 85million naira.
14 housemates out of the 20 were evicted and 1 (Erica) was disqualified, from the bbnaija show, leaving Nengi, Neo, Vee, Dorathy and Laycon emerging the top 5 finalist to be in big brothers house till day 71.
The season 5 of bbnaija has always predicted Laycon as the winner, though many thought he was being voted for out of pity.
The lockdown show was called a wrap on Sunday the 27th of September 2020, after Vee with 1.18%, Neo with 1.94% and Nengi with 15.03% were evicted on the live show, leaving just Dorathy and Laycon as the top 2, who later joined Ebuka on stage.
Laycon while on stage, was asked by Ebuka what brought him to the Big Brother Naija Reality Tv Show, Laycon revealed for the very first time since the beginning of the show that he only came to promote his songs (EP).
Truth be told, his wish came to pass, even more than he had expected, as he emerged the winner of Big Brother Season 5, taking the lead in the history of the winners of the reality show, with 60% while Dorathy came 1st runner up with 21.85% vote
Indeed, everyone saw Laycon winning the 85 million grand prize. Congratulations to Laycon and all the Icons that voted.
