LP Only Choice For Credible Leadership – Abure

The Labour Party (LP) has said that it is the only choice for credible leadership, which has hampered the advancement of the nation.

This was noted by the party’s chairman, Julius Abure while speaking at a press briefing in Lagos over the weekend.

Abure expressed delight that the LP won many victories despite various campaigns of calumny against its leadership.

He said, “And I think I’ve spoken to that when I was making my remark. The country has not improved in terms of economy in terms of infrastructure, in terms of health, in terms of education,” he said.

“All aspects of our lives are still in a very, very chaotic position and therefore nothing has changed. Nothing has improved the life of the people and as it stands today, the Labour Party remains the credible alternative.”

Speaking on the implementation of the Stephen Oronsaye Report on the restructuring of the civil service, Abure said:

“We have over-bloated civil service. We have over-bloated agencies where we waste our money, waste our time, and waste all kinds of resources on those agencies.

“So, the Labour Party is supportive of the Oronsaye Report and we are looking forward to its full implementation.

“I think it’s a right step in the right direction more so that the lives of Nigerians have not improved.”
