Manchester United holds Liverpool to a goalless draw
Manchester United maintained a resilient front as they avoided defeat against Liverpool in Sunday’s encounter at Anfield.
United had gone into the game off a Champions League elimination and a series of bad results, and with their losing record against Liverpool in recent time, nobody tipped them to leave Anfield.
However, the Red Devils, put up a rather surprising display to keep Liverpool, who had many chances but were wasteful, at bay, putting an end to their run of wins at Anfield.
Never without some drama, Diogo Dalot got sent off right at the nick of full-time.
The draw means Liverpool dropped from the EPL table to second after Arsenal secured a 2-0 win over Brighton to move back to the tabletop.
