Manchester United move to third place with win over Nottingham Forest

Manchester United’s top four hopes are still alive as a 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest moved them back to third place.

Goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot in both halves of the game were enough to hand Ten Hag’s side a deserved three points and keep them three points ahead of fourth-placed, Newcastle United, who look seriously intent on a top-four finish this season as well.

On the other hand, a win got have taken Forest out of the relegation zone, but the defeat leaves them in 17th place, separated from the bottom three only by goal difference.
