“My wife fought me for not posting her on social media” Actor Peter Ijagbemi opens up on his crashed marriage

Nollywood actor, Peter Ijagbemi has for the first time spoken on the reason for his split from his wife. 

The Yoruba actor, in an interview with colleague, Biola Bayo on her talk show, first disclosed to the public that his marriage has ended.

He stated that his wife pulled the plug on their marriage because she noticed a change in him and their marriage got to a point where they were having issues back to back.

Peter admitted that though he has his flaws, his wife wasn’t perfect either but because of their kids and the fact that she was a good wife to him, he wouldn’t speak on it.

He stated that they met in 2011, got married in 2016, and broke up in 2022. According to him, his wife always fought him for not flaunting her on social media.

“My wife noticed that I wasn’t myself. She has her own flaws, which I don’t want to talk about because we have kids and the internet doesn’t forget. So no matter what I say about her when the kids grow up and go on YouTube, they will see it. So I don’t want to say anything negative about her, because she was good to me. She has her own flaws, I have my own flaws.

“We got to a point where we discovered that it wasn’t going to work, we were having issues back to back. She said she couldn’t cope anymore and wanted to go, and I said, ‘No problem if you want to GO’.

“We met in 2011, we got married in 2016, and we went our separate ways in 2022. Nobody can know because I don’t flaunt my woman or my relationship on Instagram. At a point, she was fighting me for not posting her on his page”.

Peter Ijagbemi isn’t the only celebrity whose marriage has hit the rock.

A few weeks ago, renowned actor Bolanle Ninaolowo announced the end of his 16-year-old marriage. He also recently announced that he likes someone new.

In a recent interview, Ninalowo admitted to being “mostly responsible” for their marriage’s breakup.

The host asked: “Were you mostly responsible for the breakup between you and your wife?”

Ninalowo replied: “Was I mostly responsible? Oh yes, I am.

“I take responsibility for everything that happens to me. What somebody else does is none of your problems. It is me.”

Bolanle Ninalowo also offered additional information on his claimed relationship with actress Damilola Adegbite, whom he has been seen with following his divorce.

With a straight face, the actor stated that he never claimed to have found love again. He stated that all he said was that he liked someone but didn’t know what would happen, but he never expressed love.
