Real Madrid kick off UCL title defence with win over Celtic
Real Madrid commenced their Champions League title defence with a seemingly hard fought 3-0 victory over Celtic.
Tue Scottish side, making their return to the Champions League after give years, put up am impressive performance in the first half which saw them hold off the Spanish giants.
However, after the break, Carlo Ancelotti’s men broke Celtic’s resolve in classic Madrid fashion, thanks to goals from Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard.
The result keeps Real Madrid as joint leaders of Group F, alongside Shakhtar Donetsk who defeated RB Leipzig 4-1.
