Rema cancels all December shows over health issues

Rema has announced the cancellation of all his concerts billed for next month due to health concerns.

The 23-year-old, who was initially scheduled to tour Lagos, Abuja, and Benin City, made the announcement through his Instagram story, and informed fans that he is heartbroken by the sudden development.

He admitted that he had been ignoring his health for years and it’s now time to recuperate. He, however, promised to return to the stage next year.

Rema wrote: “It breaks my heart to say that I won’t be performing anywhere this December. Been years of touring, I’ve ignored my health and I need time to recuperate. 2024, we go again, love.”

Reacting to this, Davido stated that being an artist is not an easy job both physically and mentally.

He noted that his junior colleague has made Africa and the world proud beyond expectations with his exhilarating performance and music, and encouraged Rema to get some rest and come back stronger.

Davido wrote: “The Job ain’t easy … You’ve done Africa and the world proud .beyond expectations… get some rest King @heisrema come back stronger.”

Rena’s break comes shortly after he headlined an event at the popular O2 Arena where he gave an exhilarating performance.

Taking the stage in front of the legendary arena’s sold-out 20,000 capacity, Rema made a spectacular entrance while wearing a mask and a dark outfit, riding a stationary horse, and singing his newest single, “DND.”

In the midst of these developments, Rema faced rumors about being part of the Illuminati, fueled by imagery in his album and discomfort expressed by the majority who attended his concert. Rema has however categorically denied these allegations, emphasizing his artistic expression and dismissing any connections to Satanism or the Illuminati.
