Ronaldo hits brace as Portugal book Euro 2024 space

Cristiano Ronaldo got on the score sheet twice, as Portugal beat Slovakia 3-2 to qualify for Euro 2024 with three games left to play.

Goncalo Ramos opened the scoring for Portugal 18 minutes into the game, before Ronaldo doubled the lead, 10 minutes later.

After the break, Slovakia pulled one back via David Hancko in the 69th minute, then Ronaldo doubled his tally and made it three for Portugal, barely three minutes later, taking his tally to 125 international goals.

The visitors added another goal late on, enough to cause a scar, but Portugal held on to the lead and secured the win, which leaves them at the top of Group J with 7 wins from 7 games they have played in the qualifiers.
