Shallipopi’s Show Promoter faces threats as the singer ignores paid concert

A show promoter has called out rising singer, Crown Uzama aka Shallipopi for failing to show up at a paid show in Ghana.

According to the show promoter, Shallipopi was already booked to perform in Ghana before he got arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Control (EFCC) officials.

The show promoter took to social media to lament about being threatened by the people that paid him to invite Shallipopi. He said the clients are demanding a refund of the money and threatening his life if he fails to provide it.

He asked celebrities to use their connections and secure Shallipopi’s release so that he can at least show up to perform for the remaining days the show is meant to last.

He also pleaded with Nigerians as a whole to come to his aide as he was scared that he could be harmed because of the current circumstance.

“Please Nigerians come to my aid, I borrowed money and paid Shallipopi to come and perform at my show in Ghana, now he has been arrested in Kaduna my show is ruined and the people that gave me the money have been on my neck to pay back their money please help”, he said.

Empire earlier reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested the artiste and his manager, Ajayi Hafeez for alleged internet fraud.

EFCC Spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said they were arrested alongside 29 other suspects, including four females: Glory Kelvin-Ogunwa l, Tina Ochonogor, Favour Dawa and Joseph Iya.

“Others are Adewale Adedokun, Yakubu Ojochememi, AbdulAzeez Suleiman, Umoru AbdulAzeez, Emmanuel Iwebo, Shuaibu Smart, Joel Kator, Gowon Titus, Emmanuel Daniel, Enough Ekpo, Atano Eben, Ijuo Ochi, Paul Kaye, Uyit Victor and David Yachai.

“Also arrested are Leche Sokomba, Onoja Uroko, Cornelius Agbodesi, Edigim Success, Azubuike Oniya, Usman Shereef, Victory Chiemela, Lambert Chikwado, Asoore Oloruntoba and Malik Jibril.

“They were arrested following actionable intelligence about a proposed show by suspected Internet fraudsters at Barnawa, Kaduna,” he said.

He said that the suspects were arrested in sting operations at Disney Park Lounge, Epitome and Tomoso Hotels, all in the Barnawa axis of Kaduna.
