Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay call a truce on their beef
The long-time beef between female music stars Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay has finally come to an end as they called a truce on their differences.
Tiwa Savage delivered world-class performance at the just-concluded Global Citizen Concert held at The Great Lawn, New York, United States. Tiwa performed her hit single Somebody Son featuring Brandy.
Seyi Shay’s parody account posted a snippet of Tiwa’s performance with the caption, “No one: Absolute no one: Every lady on the continent.”
Tiwa complemented her gesture, signaling the end of their beef by sharing the short video with a caption. “@seyishay …. Thank you @glblctzn, thanks to everyone that came out to support, love y’all.”
A good number of celebrities and fans congratulated Tiwa Savage on her top performance and acknowledged her for recognizing Seyi Shay even though it was a parody account.

The duo recently had an altercation in a salon after Seyi Shay walked up to Tiwa Savage to say “hi” to her but it didn’t go down well with the latter as the artistes started exchanging words, cursing each other, and almost going physical save for the timely intervention of other people at the salon.
Tiwa initially ignored her colleague and then blurted out, “Don’t come to me and think you can say hi, with the dirty and disgusting spirit that you have. You think I have forgotten how many years ago you and Victoria Kimani did. Do you think I have forgotten? You think I can forget.”
But Seyi Shay told her to get her facts right before accusing her of any wrongdoing. She also said she won’t disclose the matter in public because “I’m not petty”.
“You and Kimani made a “whole song” and went on interviews to say “shits” about me, yet I didn’t respond, ” said Savage.
The pair called each other unprintable names and it took the intervention of the owner of the salon.
