Tony Tetuila hints at featuring Burna Boy on his 2001 hit song ‘My Car’

Veteran singer, Tony Tetuila has expressed his desire to collaborate with Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy on the remix of his 2001 hit track ‘My Car’.

Back in 2001, Tony Tetuila released the smash hit single ‘My Car’ which was a comical commentary on the social economic state of the country.

‘My Car’ dominated speakers across the country and rocketed Tony Tetuila to superstardom after just recently parting ways with the music group The Remedies where he was a member alongside Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana a.k.a Eddy Remedy.

However, in a recent exclusive interview with Daddy Freeze, Tetuila highlighted various issues, including Eedris Abdulkareem‘s recent appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast.

During the interview, Tony Tetuila disclosed his ongoing efforts to create a remix of his 2001 hit ‘My Car’, expressing his aspiration to collaborate with Burna Boy on the project.

Tetuila commended the new wave of Nigerian artists elevating the country’s music scene to unprecedented heights.

He criticized Eedris Abdulkareem for his remarks about Burna Boy, emphasizing that while Eedris and other veterans may be considered pioneers, they cannot claim to have paved the way for future generations in the same manner.

“I wan work with that boy. I am working on ‘My Car’ remix and I want Burna Boy. I love him. I love all these guys. Do you know what they have taken the music to? I love what that guy is doing. I listen to his songs always in my car,” Tony said.
