Upcoming Artist Makes 30million Monthly From Imitating Wizkid’s Music

Africa facts zone recently reported on Twitter about an artist identified as Wisekid who earns millions
monthly from copying Wizkid’s musical style and literally cloning his music.

Africas facts zone tweeted, “An Artist named Wisekid has been making N30 million monthly since
October 2020 by copying Wizkid’s music on Apple Music & Amazon.

He released an album and named it Lasgidi Made, then copied the names of Wizkid’s songs & albums.
Now he is getting a huge chunk of Wizkid’s streams.”

An album uploaded by Wise Kid on the streaming platforms titled “Lasgidi Made,” an alteration of the
original “Made In Lagos” by Wizkid. Despite the change in title, all the songs contained in the album are
songs by Wizkid, including Essence, Ginger, Grace, No Stress.

Wise Kid drew attention to himself after he tweeted a now-deleted screenshot of an Apple Music
analytics which he captioned “On God.” The screenshot showed that in the past 4 weeks he’s enjoyed
9.3 million views, 133.6k average daily listeners, and 1.2k song purchases.
