Win over South Africa sends Nigeria soaring into AFCON final

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are in the final of the African Cup of Nations where they will square up against hosts, Ivory Coast.

The Eagles defeated South Africa 4-2 on penalties in the Semi finals with Kelechi Iheanacho taking the winning shot, after the game ended at 1-1 at normal and extra time.

Kelechi wasn’t the only one who stepped up, Nigerian keeper, Stanley Nwabali, pulled a heroic Performance saving two spot kicks, as William Troost-Ekong, guided Nigeria to yet another final, where they hope to clinch their first AFCON since 2013, a fourth overall.
