2Baba and Chike to perform at NGX Group launch, ‘The Stock Africa Is Made Of ‘ campaign

The Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group) Plc is launching a campaign, ‘The Stock Africa Is Made Of’. And our own music legend, Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia will be joined by ‘boo of the booless’, Chike to provide first-class entertainment at the virtual event scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 18 May 2021.

The campaign is aimed to re-energise Africans and validate our very own success stories. Commenting on the campaign, the Group Chief Executive Officer, NGX Group Plc, Oscar Onyema, stated;

“Part of what needs to change in Africa is the narrative the world has about what they think makes up Africa. The Stock Africa Is Made Of celebrates what we know is our narrative. It re-energises Africans and validates our very own success stories; our true positive narratives. From business, through entertainment to medicine, Africa has many amazing people playing on the world stage and winning. Resilience, ambition, and our result-oriented approach are some of the few attributes that make us different. A careful list of influencers championing what Africa is made of have, therefore, been curated to execute the campaign.”

This list of influncers happen to include our own 2baba and Chike, known for their well decorated and successful musical arts. The launch event will also be moderated by veteran Master of Ceremonies, Ik Osakioduwa.

The show is also designed to project the new positioning of NGX Group Plc and its subsidiaries, and its commitment to the African financial markets as a leading capital market infrastructure provider, connecting Nigeria, Africa and the world.

We’ve also been made known that the virtual launch event, will be headlined by the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, alongside speakers like Dr. Zainab Ahmed, (Honourable Minister of Finance), Alhaji Aliko Dangote (GCON, Chairman, Dangote Group), Mr. Lamido Yuguda (CFA, Director-General, Securities and Exchange Commission) and many others.
