BBN Seyi Awolowo tears up as he apologizes for his misogynistic comment while on the show
Evicted BBNaija All Stars housemate, Seyi Awolowo, has for the third time apologized for the misogynistic comment he made while in the BBN house.
A few weeks ago, while chatting with his male housemates, Seyi said he would train his sons to “run a train” on people’s daughters. Run a train means when multiple men take turns to have sex with a woman with or without consent.
Many Nigerians condemned his comment. He was later informed by Big Brother of his distasteful comment and he tendered an apology while in the house.
Upon his Eviction on Sunday evening, Seyi also apologized for his comments which encouraged harmful stereotypes and also promoted disrespect towards women.
In a post-eviction interview with the host of the show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Seyi talked about expecting his eviction, how the weight of what he said in the house has been hanging around his neck, what was going on at that moment, his relationship with Venita and Adekunle, his high points, what’s next for him, and hoping for the best now that he’s outside the house?
While talking with Ebuka, he burst into tears and earnestly tendered an apology to everyone for his misogynistic comment while in the house. An emotional and remorseful Seyi had tears running down his cheeks and he stated that all he had to say at the moment was simply that he was sorry.
