El Clasico: Bellingham spurs Madrid to comeback victory against Barca

Jude Bellingham has once again, become the person Real Madrid is most grateful to so far this season, as his double saw Carlo Ancelotti’s side come from a goal down to defeat Barcelona 2-1, in Saturday’s El Clasico.

It took Barcelona 6 minutes to take the lead, thanks to Ilkay Gundogan’s opener, a lead that was maintained into the break.


After the break, the hosts stayed ahead until Bellingham, the inform 20-year-old English midfielder, struck home a belter of an equalizer.

And just when it seemed all parties would have to settle for a point a piece, Bellingham, happened again, this time netting home an injury-time winner, much to the dismay of Barcelona and the delight of Real Madrid, of course.

Bought in the summer from Borussia Dortmund, Bellingham, is enjoying a fantastic start to life at Madrid, with 13 goals in 13 appearances so far for the Los Blancos.

The result moved Madrid to the top of La Liga on goal difference as they are tied on points with second place Girona, and four points ahead of Barcelona who sit in third place.
