Real Madrid kicked off their La Liga title defence with a hard earned 2-1 comeback victory against Almeria.
Still basking in last Wednesday’s Uefa Super Cup victory, Real headed into the new season feeling confident, as expected.
But, Carlo Ancelotti’s men were shocked when Belgian forward Largie Ramazani, put the host in front barely six minutes into the game.
Real tried to back in the game but Almeria keeper, Fernando Martinez, put in a really good shift and the visitors’ had to wait till the 61st minute to level things up, thanks to Lucaz Vazquez.
The hosts would have been satisfied with a draw, seeing that they worked hard enough to earn a point, but David Alaba, came off the bench and snatched a sublime 75th winner.
