Lateef Adedimeji bags Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards for role in ‘Ayinla’

Popular Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji has been awarded for his stellar performance in the highly acclaimed film ‘Ayinla.’ 

Lateef Adedimeji was awarded the “Best Actor” at the just concluded Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA).

Sharing his big win on Instagram, Lateef Adedimeji thanked the award’s organizers for honoring him, as well as his colleagues, including film director Tunde Kelani alongside images shared from the ceremony in the United States.

“I was honored Last night at a private dinner with the Founder & CEO/ Executive Producer, Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards @HAPAwards, Ms Tina Weisinger with my boss @ramseynouah and beautiful @etinosaofficial in the filming industry as the Best Africa Male Actor from United States of America.

“Thank you @hapawards, thank you babami @tkelani, thank you my ever gallant @jadeosiberu”, he wrote.

Ayinla is a musical eponymous film based on the life of Ayinla Yusuf popularly known as Ayinla Omowura, an Apala musician who was stabbed to death by his manager named Bayewu in a bar fight on May 6, 1980 at Abeokuta. The film premiered on June 13, 2021, in Lagos and was released to theatres on 18 June 2021
