Man City grab late winner against Newcastle

Kevin de Bruyne bagged a goal and an assist on his return from a hamstring injury to help Man City snatch a stoppage-time 3-2 victory against Newcastle United away at St. James’ Park.

Bernardo Silva has given the defending EPL champions the lead 26 minutes into the game, but in a surprising turn of events, Pep’s men were trailing Newcastle 2-1 at the break, courtesy of goals from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon.

de Bruyne, who has been out since August, was introduced after the break, and in the 74th minute, he evened the score, before going to provide a brilliant stoppage time assist for 20-year-old Oscar Bobb, who also came on from the bench, to lash home the winner.

The result moved City into second place on the table, two points behind leaders, Liverpool.
