Manchester United crash out of the Champions League.

Manchester United crashed out of the UEFA Champions League following a 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

The first leg of the tie ended in a 1-1 draw in Spain, and Red Devils were hoping to pull a comeback and advance to the next round, however, Renan Lodi’s first-half goal was just enough to send the visitors to the Quarterfinals of one of football’s most prestigious competition.

Even the presence of Ronaldo couldn’t help the Red Devils who, having already been knocked out of other domestic competitions and are far off from winning the Premiere League, sees their trophy drought extend into a sixth consecutive season, their worst in 40 years.
