Marcus Rashford’s landmark 100th goal earns Manchester United victory

Marcus Rashford rose highest to head home his 100th goal as a Manchester United player in a lone goal victory over West Ham at Old Trafford.

Both the victory and the goal scorer was befitting for the occasion of a special 85th anniversary of United’s uninterrupted run of having a player who came through their youth development programme either in their starting line-up or on the bench.

Having been at United since he was 7, Rashford’s 100th goal for the club couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time.

The 24 year old’s goals wasn’t all that stood out at Old Trafford, as David de Gea made a couple of excellent saves to ensure United kept all three points to themselves.

The win took Erik Ten Hag’s side’s unbeaten run to eight games and moved them to Fifth on the EPL log.
