Mr Ibu’s daughter, Jasmine announces divorce from her TikTok husband after 9months

Jasmine Okafor, the daughter of veteran, Mr Ibu has announced divorce from her husband barely 9months after she shared her love story of how she and her husband met on TikTok.

In an Instagram post, Jasmine revealed that her husband lied to her about his previous marriage and his kids.

She said she never knew that he was once married and that he has 3 grown up kids.

Though admitting that their marriage was blissful, she however stated that his lie broke their union.

She recounted how she probed him on his personal life before they tied the knot, only to find out about the truth from his mother, which really broke her.

“This was the best 9 months of my life! I have no regrets whatsoever! I just won’t settle asking you about this severally before we started! Finding out today from your num, really broke me! A foundation built upon a tiny lie won’t stand! I love how you loved me! Bur hate how you never mentioned your divorce nor kids to me! Moving on I don’t think I want anybody else! Just gonna love you from a distance”.

Jasmine who referred to her lover as her ‘TikTok gifter’, had announced that they would be getting married just two months after meeting on the social media platform because according to her, a real man doesn’t waste a lady’s time.

On the issue of getting married to a man she met on TikTok, the John Okafor said he’s okay with it and gives them his blessings.

“She is not my biological daughter but I trained her. She calls me daddy and I call her daughter. I am okay with it (her getting married). I have been praying for them and I will keep on doing that”, Ibu said.

He continued, “Man and woman got to know each other one day. It is a gradual process. However, I don’t want to see tears”.
