Nigerians Blast Toyin Abraham’s Acting Skills, Call Her Overrated

The Nollywood movie industry has evolved drastically as all actors are beginning to put in their A-Game. This leads us to why most of them are also being called out on social media each time they act below their standards as most of them are seen as respected and talented in the game, especially the A-list actors. The likes of; RMD, Ramsey Nouah, Olu Jacobs, Joke Silver, Ireti Doyle, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekinde, Funke Akindele amongst others.

It is ok to say that Toyin Aimakhu popularly known as Toyin Abraham is a veteran in the Nollywood movie industry, as she has created her own brand that people commonly identifies her with.

Toyin Abraham is a Nigerian filmmaker, actress, a director and also a movie producer. Born on the 5th day of September 1982 in Auchi Edo state Nigeria, and has been in the industry since 2003 till date.

Everyone is said to be unique in their own ways, and as such should not be compared to others. But this isn’t the case of Toyin as she was being dragged on social media, comparing her to her other female colleagues saying she is overrated.

The above tweet got everyone talking as most of her fans backed her up on twitter saying she is a good actor and is not over rated.

Some go as far as mentioning the fact that she acted one of her most talked about movie “elevator baby” trending on Netflix, while she was heavily pregnant, and as such should not be referred to as underrated or not talented.

As for me, i believe she’s a good actress. Though she can get a bit overexcited at some roles but she always gets the job done!

Many look for fame in this industry and that’s what is killing most of them… Imagine those that would have to sleep with producers before they can cast them…

To me, I feel, once you are able to pass your messages through your movies, it’s enough. And so far you are getting feedback of how your movie changed people’s lives or corrected the ills in the society, you should be fulfilled.

Not everyone would be your friend. And, if you’re doing something that does not attract critics, you might actually be on the wrong part. Success attracts hatred and jealousy.
