Serie A: Ronaldo ends three-game goal drought
Cristiano Ronaldo ended his three-game goal drought on Saturday with a 13th-minute low finish to set Juventus up for a 2-0 victory over Roma and move a level ahead of them as they chase current league leaders, Inter Milan.
For the Talisman who turned 36 the day before, that was the 23rd goal of the season and 16th in the Serie A, leaving him at the top of the goal-scoring chart, two more than Inter’s Romelu Lukaku.
Paulo Fonseca’s Roma could have taken something from the game. Still, for their lack of finesse and with Pirlo’s maintaining the Tempo, the visitors soon paid when Roger Ibanez turned Dejan Kulusevski’s cross into his net in the second half to seal the victory and hand the host a sixth consecutive win in all competitions and move them to third place, five points behind Inter and with a game in hand.
SERIE A SATURDAY 6, FEBRUARY 2021
