UCL: Haaland hits brace as City edge Young Boys

Defending champions, Manchester City have continued their perfect defence to the UCL title with a 3-1 away at Young Boys.

After a goalless first half, Manuel Akanji put Pep Guardiola’s side in front in the 48th minute, but four later, Meschack Elia, shockingly leveled things up for the hosts.

The Swiss side looked set to give City a real run for their money, but Haaland got off the twice after the equalizer, to help City bag their third win in the group stage, taking their unbeaten run in Europe to 17 games.

In the other Group G game, Leipzig defeated Red Star Belgrade, 3-1, and are second on the log with 6 points, 3 behind first place Man City, who have 9 points from 3 games.
