Manchester United ends shambolic season with defeat

With the underwhelming season, Manchester United had, safe to say, they couldn’t wait for it to end, but be it as it may, a defeat certainly isn’t what they’d bargained for on the last day of the 2021/2022 English Premier League season.

As if falling short of a place in the top four wasn’t bad enough, United ended the season with their lowest ever Premier League points, following a 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace in the presence of their new manager, Erik ten Hag.

The first-half goal from Wilfried Zaha, a former United player, saw the United finish in sixth place.

They however secured a Europa League spot despite the loss, thanks to West Ham’s defeat to Brighton.

United will be looking to put this rather disappointing season behind them and hope for better days with the incoming  Dutchman.
