Europa League: Arsenal misses top spot with defeat to PSV Eindhoven

Arsenal failed to finish at the top of Group A in the Europa league following a disappointing 2-0 defeat to PSV Eindhoven, which put an end to their unbeaten run in the competition.

The Gunners, who are currently at the top of the premier league, needed just a point against the Dutch side to scale through to the last 16, but second half goals from Joey Veerman and Luuk de Jong, prevented that from happening.

The result means, PSV have qualifed for the next round, while Mikel Arterta’s men will have to defeat Zurich when they meet next Thursday at the Emirates Stadium to book a place in the round of 16.
