La Liga: Real Madrid maintain perfect start to title defence
Real Madrid handed Real Betis their first defeat of the season, as they maintained their perfect winning start to the 2022/2023 La Liga season.
Vinicius Jr gave the host an early lead in the ninth minutes, but the Madrid didn’t hold on to it for long, as Sergio Canales got Real Betis back into the game 11 minutes later.
Some 20 minutes after the break, Rodrygo put Madrid back in front.
Betis, who had won all three of their opening games, couldn’t find their way back into the game, as Carlo Ancelotti’s men put an end to their fairytale start to the season, while maintaining their own flawless title defence, with four wins in a row.
Sevilla 0 – 3 Barcelona
Barcelona are also unbeaten in the league so far, after securing a comfortable 3-0 win over Sevilla.
Goals from Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Erik Garcia, gave Xavi’s side three points and moved them to second on the log, leaving Sevilla still in search of a win this season.
