Sevilla defeat Roma on penalties to clinch seventh Europa League title

Sevilla sealed a recording stretching seventh Europa League title, thanks to a 4-1 victory on penalties against Roma at a fully packed Puskas Arena in Budapest.

After playing out a 1-1 draw past regulation time and extra time, the game headed into penalties, with Sevilla’s keeper, Yassine Bounou, saving two penalties, while Gonzalo Montiel’s retaken shot spelled wild celebrations for the Spanish side and heartbreak for the Italian side.Β 

It’s a record extending seventh Europa triumph for Sevilla who have continued to dominate the competition.
