Win against Wolves revives Man Utd’s top four hopes

Having suffered consistent EPL losses to Brighton and West Ham, Manchester United had put their top-four race on the line.

However, a deserved 2-0 over the Wolves helped strengthened The Red Devils hopes of finishing in the top four and qualifying for Champions League football next season.

United created the most chances and were extremely wasteful as has become a thing with them this season, but a first-half goal from Anthony Martial and substitute, Alejandro Garnacho’a stoppage time second handed them all vital three points.

The result means Ten Hag’s men are leveled on points with third-placed Newcastle United who were held to a 2-2 draw in a dramatic game against Leeds United, and four ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool, who played relegation-threatened Leicester City on Monday.
