Mr Ibu, Foluke Daramola, Under the heat for Supporting Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition
Nollywood stars, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu and Foluke Daramola have come under social media heat after a video of them singing and dancing to the presidential aspiration of APC leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu went viral.
In the viral video, the Nollywood stars were seen singing to Tinubu’s name around a table where they apparently had a meeting. No evidence of inducement besides bottled water was visible on their table. While some tried to hide their faces from the camera, two stars who were particularly discernable, Mr. Ibu and Foluke Daramola were the objects of the fury of their fans.
Netizens defined this to be some form of endorsement and support for his 2023 presidential ambition. This angered Nigerians as they dragged the Nollywood stars for betraying the masses and supposedly selling their reputations for a political cause.

“Nollywood are very useless later na there set go dey beg money online if they have problems because they eat there future and there on born feture join owon alate nuje”, olasunkanmmyy blasted.

Tinubu has not officially declared his intention for running for the office of the presidency however, his political associates have long begun campaigning for him.
Sahara Reporters also reported that a founding member of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and elder statesman, Tanko Yakasai, has revealed that Bola Tinubu wants to run for the presidential race in the 2023 general election. He said that Tinubu was at his Abuja residence on Wednesday to solicit support for his presidential ambition in the coming election.
He (Tinubu) just came to visit me but actually I have two of them (presidential aspirants) that I have earmarked right from the beginning and I made a vow that anyone of them who came to ask for my support first is the person I would support. Tinubu is the first person”, Yakasai said.
